Our latest research has been published by Nature! We discovered a unique object that is considered a crucial “missing link” between galaxies and the supermassive black holes about 750 million years just after the Big Bang.
I contributed in many ways as a lead author, but I believe we have made it this far, starting with Gabe’s outstanding skills in analyzing the entire HST archive, accelerated by the great teamwork of DAWN, and strengthened by the prompt theoretical support from our friendly Italian colleagues.
I rediscovered the fascination of observation, where unexpected things are found by chance, and the thrill of research that is created by joining forces.
